Called saying that an engineer was coming out to disconnect my power due to 60 days delinquent payment. I refused to give my name they claim to have looked up my address. It was not my address. They asked for payment. I said it sounded like a scam and they hung up. I confirmed on the power company web site that I am all caught up and have no overdue payment.

They indicated they were duke energy, they had all wrong information for our account and were very rude. This is not duke please do not pay money to these people. We have reported them to duke and the local authorities. We are a law firm.

I received several calls, finally answered, they claimed to be Duke Energy and said they would disconnect my service which I do not have. As soon as I caught on and began asking questions, they hung up.

This person called us and told us that there is a problem with our payments and we need to go and get MoneyPack card with cash on it in the next 45 min or our power will be disconected... immediately I called Duke energy and they told us that our account was good with no disconnected notice, So is a biG SAM !!

They called me to my phone about my parents account even though I am not on their account. The man said that they were behind on payment and service would be disconnected in 30 mins. I thought it was strange they were calling me so I hung up. Called Duke energy on behalf of my parents and they advised me that my parents account is current and that they do not call giving a time of when service will be disconnected. Duke energy assured me this was not them and advised this be reported.

Our local business received a customer service call from "duke energy" on 12/03/16 saying that payments were behind and that we had 45 minutes before our power would be disconnected, and gave us a phone number to call back. When calling that number back we were asked to meet in a random city with cash only. THIS IS A SCAM. The number is routing from an untraceable source. Be safe these holidays.
