Scam Call Saying Elec will be Disconnected! (Scam call) reported by


I picked up and it was a robo call all in Spanish saying that my electricity would be turned off for non payment and left a number to call back. I called the 1800 and a person picked up and asked, in Spanish, how they could help me. I could hear more ppl talking in the back ground so I hung up bcs I did not think my bills were behind and thought this could be a scam. I them phoned our gas and electric companies and confirmed that NO disconnection notices were out on our home address. This call was BS and a scam to get people to freak out about supposed disconnections and make a payment!

SCAM - utility collector calling several of businesses. We are corporately owned and all utilities are registered with our corporate office phone numbers.

They called and said our electric bill was two months behind. This number was given to call for late payments. I called the bank and both checks were cashed. I proceeded to call Met Ed and both bills were paid in full. Not late. Grrr
