They had our DirectTV billing information. They said that Direct TV was moving their Satellite and we would loose access soon. Technical services needed to download software. We went through the motions until they said "the Better Business Bureau requires that we give them all the credit card numbers" - At this time we identified it as a scam. Their response "Go to Hell. We're going to block your credit card". DEFINITELY A SCAM ...can they do anything with our receiver # & ID?

Said they were from Direct TV but then asked if I had Direct TV. (Scam call) reported by


Caller stated they were from Direct tv and followed with do you have direct tv. I responded with you called me and would know if i had direct tv or not as the real Direct tv comes up on my caller id this number did not. Also direct tv has all my info. They were looking for a yes or no answer. I have received this call twice now. Last call the male laughed when i said i do run direct tv but was still looking for a ues or no answer in which i would not give. Spam for sure.

Direct TV - fishing for CC# (Scam call) reported by


Called saying they were with Direct TV, offering to upgrade our system $25 less a month, then asked if we would give them some answer to a security question for verification, and then wanted a credit card number.....knew it was a scam at that point and hung up.
