I somehow missed my cc payment last month, and they simply called and reminded me. She gave me the option pay over the phone, but didn’t require it. I made the payment over the phone. Ten minutes later, I called the # on the back of my card and verified it was legit.

She talked vaguely about using a lot of credit transaction and now I owe $70. I said no. She did not answer my question that I have any business with her. She keeps insisting to call her back. I think it is a scam. Once I call back they may have some access to my info

I believe this number may be an example of nefarious persons buying access to legitimate 800 numbers with malicious intent. I have heard before (I think) that hackers can spoof even these numbers illegally as well.
