"Kyle" had country music playing loudly in the background of the call and claimed that he was calling about our UPS account. Chances are, he got our business name, address, and phone number off our website and wanted to "confirm" our UPS account number and our previous invoice amount which is all the information one would need to ship on our account. This is a scam. An actual UPS representative will be able to prove they are legit.

Didn't answer since I never p/u 800 numbers. They left a message on vm. This is a LEGIT call. Annoying, because it was one of those "checking in" calls when you have a UPS account, but totally LEGIT nevertheless.

Called to say he was my local state UPS rep, said his name was "Josh", asked if I had opened an account recently, asked what for, asked to verify my email address. He then said he would email me with his UPS business card info for any future issues. Googled the number and found that it had been reported as a scam in the past. Changed all my email & UPS account info as a precaution and emailed UPS Fraud Center. Felt weird, but he didn't ask for the typical info a scam would ask for. Jury is out on this one.

They make you believe that they are from UPS, but they are a secondary shipping supply/processing company who tells you they are UPS. Do not give them any information.
