Said they were from TD Bank and that I was ehind on payments. I don't have an account with them. They couldn't give me any Information.

Guy called claiming to be from turbo tax, could hear things in the background and he was quick to leave the conversation and ask that I call him back and stated multiple times that he was from turbo tax. Turbo tax doesnt call.

As someone else mentioned, this person called my elderly father and claimed to be from MOAA. He asked me to call them back but before I did, I checked MOAA's website and did not see this number. I checked on this site and found a similar scam. Had my father called them, he would have provided all his personal information!

Pretended to by my insurance company, wanted my personal info. (Scam call) reported by


I received a call stated it was from Military Officers Association of America. MOAA. When I called back they wanted all sorts of personal information from me. I told them I had no evidence that they were who they said they were. It was not an MOAA number. I heard a dog barking in the background. I challenged them on that. Was told they work from home. I've never had this company's reps call from any but a professional environment. I refused to provide my personal information. They called me and would not tell me what it was about. I asked for a supervisor, and they hung up on me. There was a survey afterwards. I'll guess this was some sort of insurance scam and that they use private parties working in home to sell something. I called MOAA on their normal number and was told this was not one of their normal numbers.

Overdue Ins Premium (Debt collector) reported by


Caller said I was late on an insurance payment for a policy that I have and asked me to make a payment. I said that the premium was not due and that the amount mentioned way wrong. Caller responded that they'd made a mistake and that a different amount had been received last week (off by months). I don't know whether this was a scam to collect money by phone or a genuine mistake by a vendor.
