This number called my husband's phone. They left a message stating that the FBI has been contacted and he is under investigation for miney laundering. The recorded message said this is his last notice. He was supposed to hit "1" to talk to someone at The Social Security Administration. SCAM

Newly unemployed. My phone number is up for grabs on my resume/in the cloud. I bet it has already been sold to other telemarketers - since I answered. Waiting for the onslaught which would prove this.

Was calling to tell me my name and number was picked at random for 9000.00. When i told him i also worked for the federal gov..and wanted his name and id # he gave me something jordon. Along with a song and dance on why he was uncomfortable with telling me the ID number. With the very thick accent I doubt he resides in the U S.

Grant of $9,000 (Telemarketer) reported by


A lady with a heavy accent told me the government had a financial crisis in 2009 that allowed them to give $9,000 grants to about 54,000 citizens and when I said if it’s a grant why doesn’t it go to school and she said it was an anything grant. I then said okay I will take a check in the mail she said I could only used Walmart Western Union or Direct Deposit, I told her no and she said she didn’t have the Clearance to change my payment form so I asked to soeak with her supervisor and she said no and when I asked why she said she works for the government. I told her I know but there is still someone above her I want to speak with and she hung up

I answered knowing it was a fraud to get more information to report to the authorities. A woman asked to talk to 'my REAL first name' (yikes! How did she know that?!). I didn't confirm it was me but I asked 'who is this?' and then she hung up. Still kind of freaked that she knew my first name though. I have reported this number and their claim that they are from the Treasury several months ago but apparently they haven't been caught yet.
