Fraudulent IRS fraud hotline (the irony) soliciting fake tax fraud forms. 1-800-829-3676 is also them. The IRS doesn't contact you by phone for payments. Caller ID is rigged to say "UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT". Give them nothing or give them a piece of your mind. Either is suitable.

Do not answer. It's a scam. If the IRS was trying to contact you, they would send inquiries via the US Postal service. They do not call unlisted cell phones.

800-829-0433 called 27 May 2016 9:43am. CID TOLL FREE CALL This is the IRS Tax Fraud number for reporting. Scam robocall from this spoofed IRS Tax Fraud number that bluffed something about back taxes. Why would the IRS Tax Fraud number that you call for reporting-TAX FRAUD, be calling me? Exactly. They wouldn't.

Just got called by this number. It was a robo call and they stated I am going to have a tax fraud case brought against me if I do not respond. They claimed they have been trying to contact me with no success (which they haven't). They left a number---(202) 829--0433 to verify this call. I called my accountant and he said it is a scam and DO NOT give out ANY information over the phone. I am reporting it to my State's Attorney General.
