Chase Fraud Dept - that seems like scam call but is not. (Financial services) reported by SS
If you ask them to verify that they are chase they will easily let you off the phone and let you call the number back. But it does initially seem like fraud. Robo Call- then speaking to a rep. I have had this happen multiple times now for a consistent transfer and also get a text notification.

This was NOT Chase Bank. Look up the real # online (Scam call) reported by Austin
I got a phone call from this 800-839-7416 and they had me push #1 to continue if this was my name. I did so and talked to a representative that wanted to "verify" information with me. I hung up and called the correct number I found online for Chase Business Fraud Alert. After verifying my account, Chase told me that there was no pending fraud alerts on my account and they did not recognize the -7416 number. Don't give them any information!

Chase Fraud Alert (Financial services) reported by CP
This must be the most stupid fraud alert system ever implemented. While the folks at Chase strongly profess that bank customers be vigilant against suspicious calls that may not actually be from them, nevertheless they set up this ridiculous RoboCall system which has all the warning signs of being fake but then actually isn't! I got two calls, about 30 minutes apart from this number. In both cases, the robot asks to confirm you name then puts you on hold for 10 minutes, then announces no representatives are available and provides another number [(877)611-3015 in my case] to call back with at a later time. Neither of these numbers are published numbers by Chase, and Chase representatives do not find them in the bank directory either. Also, there is no other form of communications from Chase, no Email, no Text, and no Online Banking secure message. Nevertheless, I called the main customer service number at Chase and got the correct number for the Chase Fraud Dept., which is (877)691-8086, and indeed after the usual verification procedures there was a legitimate issue needing verification which they were actually calling me about! No knowledge even by those representatives of the automated calling system or unpublished numbers used.

SUMMARY: Nov 4, 2020: Is (800) 839-7416 a legit Chase Fraud Alert phone number? Yes. And since it is easily known that that is the phone number that Chase uses, could anyone spoof that number (make that phone number appear on your caller ID) and try to scam you? Yes.
At 5:15 PM I logged into my Chase account and initiated a bank to bank transfer from my Chase account to my other bank for a few thousand dollars. At 6:45 PM I got a call from (800) 839-7416 and it was an automated recording which then connected me to a person. The call had the Chase music and the same Chase computer voice recording. The phone quality was very bad and I could barely hear her - but, that did not raise any flag since everyone is working from home during the pandemic. Whatever she said {I couldn't hear here} she transferred me to another person.
That rep asked for my account number to verify my identity. Since I had just initiated a transfer 90 minutes ago, even ME of all people wasn't suspicious at that point. But, then she asked me to verify my phone number... and then she asked for my debit card number (to further verify my identity). At that point, I told her that I need to verify HER identity since the call came inbound to me. She then said "I understand if you're not comfortable - you can go into a branch and take 2 pieces of I.D." and we got off of the phone. BUT, when she asked for my debit card number, she said "can you verify your debit card # ending in xxxx" (my card number). So, she had my correct debit card number.
I simply hung up and dialed Chase directly. The rep said that yes, Chase called me to verify my transaction from 90 minutes earlier.
*** NOTE ***
AGAIN, if Chase uses (800) 839-7416 for fraud alerts, then that number is now public info and any scammer can spoof that caller I.D. and try to scam you. If you receive any call that seems suspicious, hang up and YOU call your bank directly. You may also want to seriously consider activating "Mobile Alert
