Trying to offer services. Comcast people at the store had advised me to never answer these calls. The best way to upgrade or to do something with your service is by calling directly to Comcast or going to the stores. DO NOT MAKE ANY BUSINESS OVER THE PHONE!!! BE AWARE!!

Offered free modem rental for a year followed by $5/month. Asked them to call me back, missed two calls. When I called back had to wait a long time to speak to someone, who didn't really know what I was talking about. Later called Xfinity directly and found out they had never called me, and that this number was not a Comcast number. Then found this site! Xfinity offers a lot of good deals so this seemed like just another one of them...

Xfinity Flex (Telemarketer) reported by


Usually my phone filters whether it's "Scam Likely" but it didn't for this 800 number. She proposed a new plan but I said I was already happy with mine and then she said I qualified for 1 more and it was Xfinity Flex. I looked it up and Xfinity Flex is indeed FREE with my plan (just internet) and I confirmed it with legitimate sources on Comcast, multiple websites that reviews internet services and stuff. I was skeptical cuz I had to confirm my address but then I had her confirm my account number (which she could've gotten from my address maybe that was a mistake). I received an email to confirm my purchase and it was the legitimate Comcast communication that I have gotten previously from Comcast when setting up my account (when you talk on the phone and they email you to confirm something while still on the phone with you). I didn't give any personal info other than my temporary address so.. I guess we'll see if it comes in the mail.

Yep it's a scam they just called me about an xfinity phone. I hung up and called back, it says they're offices are closed

Yes I did the same after they asked for my social I told them I was skeptical and they sent me what looks like a very authentic email from : [email protected] I also called back within the hour and I got a message saying their offices were closed.
