? USPD ?, Debt Collector, they were silent when I answered, but left a message requesting that I call back. I did, spoke to an individual and informed them that they had a wrong number (they were looking for a relative). No problem.

I asked who they were trying to reach because I have NO debt - I'm 1000% positive!! She refused to tell me who they were calling for, kept asking for my name - I said who are you trying to reach on this #? Finally I said I know for a fact I don't have any debt so you have the wrong # & I'm glad you're recording this so you have proof I told you that you have the wrong # & if you continue to call I will press harassment charges. I did collections for 6 years, I KNOW they have the persons name in front of them that they're calling for!

They require you to divulge personal information in order to learn about your “debt”. I realize precautions are needed for consumer privacy, but privacy goes both ways. They should contact people through a different method (e.g. mailed letter) where it’s easier to determine the validity of both parties. Do not give this number personal information.

Since ALL of our bills are paid & up to date, I can only assume this is a scam of some sort bbn or another. At least it's something different. Lol

I don't have any outstanding Debts are are not in good standing, so I have no reason to see an issue. But they only leave you a message to call the number back, I have never had a debt collector call with a computer and them ask me to call them. So I don't feel it is real.
