Problem with a payment to my line of credit. It started as a collection call and ended with the problem being resolved as a mistake on WF - someone had transposed numbers on the account when they credited a payment. Be aware though, these numbers can be spoofed. There is legislation in the pipeline to limit that ability but currently it is not hard to change published Caller ID settings.

Caller left no message, but caller ID said Wells Fargo. NOT TRUE. Banks communicate with their customers by MAIL. But if they DO want to reach you they will ALWAYS leave a message. Got another call from this scam-scum again today. NO message again. Dead giveaway! SCAM.

WELLS FARGO, Pleasant. If people are so bothered by their calls, call & tell them to remove you from receiving automated calls. If they're bothering you with something else: 1) talk to them to resolve the matter or get your name cleared if it's regarding someone else, or 2) verbally request a cease & desist (they don't require a letter), in which case they can't contact you via phone. Marking any number not known or that irritates as spam or (inaccurately) as a telemarketer, doesn't help everyone else who needs to receive calls but they're getting blocked.
