The man stated that my rates were high and that he can lower them (Financial services) reported by


The conversation went well he was Indian but that didn't make a difference to me he stated that my interest rate on my credit cards were too high. I didn't know if my interest rates were high or not I never check he told me he can put it down to less than 6%. After a conversation he asked for my debit card number. Then I proceeded to say no you're not able to have my debit card number because that is personal information you already have my credit card information which was correct. I'm still not sure but I am gonna call my credit card companies and make sure that this card services is legit .

Lower rate (Scam call) reported by


I played along. They man (with Indian accent) asked if I was ready to lower my rate on my Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. I asked which card he was asking about and he stated that I have all three cards. I told him that I don't have Discover. He apologized and supposedly misread the info on the screen. He asked me to verify my expiration date and I totally made up a date. Magically, my date was correct. Then he asked for my cc #.... just to verify its the correct account. I told him I wasn't giving my cc# out over the phone. He informed me that safety is a valid concern, but because they're not asking for the 3 digit # on the back or a 4 digit pin that it would be IMPOSSIBLE for someone to use my card. I then informed him that I carry a balance of ZERO on my card and therefore don't need a lower interest rate.
