I've been getting calls from non toll free numbers that appear to be local, but the messages left say they are for Discover card. They make it sound like there is something wrong with your account by saying that it is not a sales call. When you call the number they leave, 800-973-5066, there is a prompt voice saying it's Discover card but they ask you for your account number and if you don't comply with that they ask for your whole SS number. It does sound legit, but when you call 800 DISCOVER, they will tell you not to give any of your personal information, they are not associated with that number in any way, and when you call the real Discover from your cell or phone listed on your account it will pull up your information, so you are not asked for it. BEWARE SCAM.

Not a scam. That's literally Discover Card collections. Just pay your bills. They'll stop calling. If they have the wrong #, just tell them that and move on.

They left a voicemail saying they were with discover and to contract during certain times about my discover account. I contacted Discover via email with the apps instant chat, and customer service said Discover did NOT contact me and to disregard the call and always verify with Discover's actual contact information posted on their website/bill.

Called Discover at the number on my credit card. They show no such calls made by them, nor is this number theirs. They advised this is a phishing attempt and this is not in any way associated with Discover Credit Card. They verified the last note on our account was the last time we actually had any contact to or from them.
