Says there's a hold on my card for suspicious activity, but my card works fine. My bank mentioned nothing about suspicious activity. They will reference the last 4 digits of your card, but not your actual account number, meaning they retrieved the surface info of your card from an online purchase. Always remember to just call your own bank directly!

Fraud Protection Service for my credit union (this is legit) (Financial services) reported by JimW
I got an email from "[email protected]" asking me to call 833-763-2031 or 206-337-3235 about suspicious transactions, claiming they are from my credit union (Space Coast Credit Union) fraud dept. The email didn't look like a typical SCCU email, so I called my credit union. They handled the case, closed it, and confirmed this is a 3rd party they contract with for fraud monitoring and alerting. This Enfact company sells its services to many different credit unions and banks, and it is a legitimate service. They listed two legitimate transactions along with potential fraud transactions, which gave me a little comfort. If you receive this email or a phone call, I think it would be safer not to call them back but to call your CU or bank and ask for the fraud unit. They can probably handle the issue, and you would KNOW you're dealing with your CU/bank. That's ultimately what I did.

Pretended to be my credit union fraud dept, but acct was closed. (Scam call) reported by JH
Left msg that had my old debit card’s last 4 #’s. Sounded legit, but they used my son’s name and acct was mostly closed, has $5 in it, and card was closed. Makes me think they got info from online gaming or shopping to have my kid’s name with my #. “This is the security service, federal credit, Union fraud detection center calling to verify recent transactions on your s***** **** federal credit union debit card ending in **** due to unusual activity a temporary hold may have been placed on your card. Please have **** call us as soon as possible at 8 3 3- 7 6 3- 2 0 3 1. You'll be asked to enter case number **********. Again , the toll-free number is 8 3 3 7 6 3…”
