I have been divorced since 1995 and my ex-husband has never lived at this address. Message from this number said they are looking for him and wants me to call if I know where he is so they can contact the "proper authorities." He is major gambler so there may be truth to this call. However, I did not call back because I do not know where he is and I do not want to know. He tends to disappear when he owes people money. Trust me, it would be gratifying to see justice served on someone who should have been imprisoned a long time ago.

They cant collect (Unsolicited call) reported by


Evidently it is a call from a debt collector or payday loan lender or scam call.They cant collect on these debts legally cause theyre past the statue of limitations or they are ilegal in your state.So they use this tactic hoping to get a hold of elderly parent or relative and try to scare them buy saying is this debt is not paid the person will go to jail and they threaten to go to place of employment which is ilegal as well.So they make about 10k calls a day and if 500 of them bite and the elderly relative or parent thinks it legal, so they give them there information to pay the debt.Just imagine if they are successful at just a 100 to 500 calls a day.They collect anywhere from 9k to several hundred thousands a day.Do not be alarmed ,ask them to stop calling record the numbers,names etc and they continue to call it violates the TPA and you can be awarded 500 to 1500 per call, this is why they are always changing there numbers, selling the debts around cause they dont get caught.Same as a credit card, if you ask them to stop calling and you are behind you can collect money from them.And I even seen emails from these people years ago.We need to trap these people and shut them down from this harassment , but it is hard.I have a consumer protection lawyer already as well.

I listened to my voicemail and the voice on the other end doesn't sound like a normal voice it's sounded more like someone was using those voice box changing thing to be honest it sounded evil.

This was an automated call to notify us (this is a business line called) of a complaint against someone prior to legal action. I called them back and the company is GAFS. They hung up when I pressed for more information.

12/28 Same exact message I rec'd, yes voice sounds almost like those you hear on the ghost shows. Said he was John Lewis, never said who he was with but that if I didn't call back someone had filed a formal complaint against me and he would notify the authorities. LOL, hahaha! I am so thankful that everyone writes down when this happens, it helps to know that it isn't just happening to me. Geez, go get a real job Johnny!

Same as above, block one number and they call from a different 58**. If they were really looking for me, wouldn't you prefer to speak right away instead of asking me to call back to a mailbox that doesn't take messages. You already have me on the phone, you do the talking not a ROBO.
