Female called ask for me by name asking for my brother gave me his DOB to confirm wasn't calling for my father. Then gives me an address that he hasn't lived at for 10-15 years. Telling me that someone has brought a case against him and their office is mediating. At this time it is out of their hands and have tried to reach him asking me can I relay a message. For one if it is out of their hands why would they still try to reach him and why would a company that is mediating use skip tracing tools to call the family?? Continue to ask me to reach him. I advised no info on him and go ahead and put down that I will not be able to reach him either. The lady would not give her name or where she was calling from except that it was the mediation department. Company's like these buy accounts from other company that still have a business license to operate add fees of any where 200-1000's of dollars and call people that don't know any better threatening legal tactics and court even jail to have to them pay. Half the time the accounts have already been paid once or twice at another company. For one if you have court case no one not even the mediation department will call you. The police will not come to your home unless you have a warrant and they are not going to call and give you warning. You will either be served by a court official or have a letter sent to you telling you of the action that may be taken against you if steps aren't taken but never a phone call to your relatives.
