MUSC is a MESS! Terrible mess! Rude receptionists that say things like "what do you want me to do about it" when you call and have medical concern questions to leave for the doctor. What I want you to do is your job and send the message to the doctor please! The scheduling and paperwork employees don't do their job either and never get things done! When I needed a scheduled MRI, the sheduling lady said I needed to take care of it. Um, I'm not a doctor and cannot send off for testing, medications or labs to be done for myself. I'm the patient and that's their job! If I had the authority to to those things for myself, I'd sure do better than they do! When they finally sent it they did it incorrectly and my MRI was never done! SMH! Dr. Walker was the worst neurologist for multiple sclerosis I ever saw! He said all dmd's work the same and told me just pick one! What? No they don't! What is this Russian Roulette? Ok, I'll pick Tysabri even though I'm JC+ and could get pml! Where did this doctor get his degree? He also had no idea how to treat my nerve pain either. Told me see a pain specialist. Brags about how he has over 30 years of experience but told me he didn't know how to properly treat me. Wanted to send me to infectious disease! I have MS, I need a neurologist that understands how to treat MS. MS is a neurological autoimmune disease not an infectious disease. My ms has caused common ms problems that a doctor of ms specialty at a research facility should know how to treat! SMH again! I drove over 3 hours to get there to there and deal with all that nonsense. Yet he was supposed to be taking my case. Yet his office never sent for my records. Yet he made me think he was my doctor and was sending his nurse orders for my infusion. That's the one thing he has no problem doing, prescribing meds to make a profit.
