Claimed to be Centurlink (Debt collector) reported by Jeff S.
They said I was late on my bill and would be sent to collections after trying to solicit my SSN and mothers Maiden name. I provided neither and told her I had my account pulled up on line and had autopay and was current. She said she was sending me to collections and hung up.

This was a company that said their name was final billing. Turns out it is Century Link and they are trying to collect from an old account not in my name...even though it was difficult to understand the name they were trying to identify due to very broken english speaking representative

Did not answer this time around but have in the past. Claim to be Centurylink but do not ask for anyone by name. I do not have and never have had a centurylink account but they insist and attempt to get personal information and they call daily. I now have them blocked on my phone. Do not give them your information and if you have or have had a centurylink account please call them directly and find out if you have any outstanding or past due balances.

They called me repeatedly. I called back to see who was calling me. It was Century Link. They said I had a unpaid balance and were very angry with me when I told them I was not who they were looking for, and that I never had a Century Link account.
