they tried calling me to let me know I had to fill out a form for a refund for $499.00 that was renewal fees on my Best Buy Plan to get a refund and when I told him my card is not good any longer he still tried getting me to keep talking and filling out a form so I hung up and called the Geek Squad who verified that this is a scam they do not call you they contact you by email. He was not happy when I told him I know it is a Scam.

Scam call they are charging $499.00 for computer virus protection then they instruct you to turn on your computer to get your refund back. Are we stupid or what?

Robot voice said my credit card had been charged for payment to antivirus software, and if I did not want it, all I had to do was call back, log onto my computer and follow the tech's instructions. Sounds like they will either have you turn over control of your computer so they can get passwords, or worse, they will install ransomware. If someone calls like this, log on to your credit card site and check for yourself, NEVER give anyone that info or let them prowl around in your computer!! Be safe, be smart, people!

DON'T CALL BACK! This is a tax refund scam. Didn't answer but the robot voicemail asked to call this number back and get on computer get my refund. The IRS never calls you because they only send mail, so don't think it's real.

same here - normally these calls were made by folks with strong foreign accents. This time was an uneducated American voice ...
