Legitimate financial institutions do not call people out of the blue who are on the Do Not Call registry, as I am. In fact, they do not call people NOT on that registry to try to sell them "financial services" (like loans) as this caller was. I believe this is scam and whoever is calling is not connected with Wells Fargo at all. Probably an identity theft attempt. It might be worth checking with the Wells Fargo website about this. They may have a notice up about the scammers.

Credit Card offer Following up on mailer (Telemarketer) reported by


Wells Fargo employee following up on mail offer sent to my home address.. able to verify all of my accounts, state my street name, day that I was born, and once I gave my first and last name + the last 4 of my social they even confirmed the amount of money I have in my account. They sold me a credit card and I received it about 2 weeks later. Not a scam. Just telemarketing.
