The calls are from MetCredit. They phone. They text. Daily. Multi-daily. I answer, but no reply. This is 6 months now! PROBLEM IS they want the person who had the Freedom phone number before me.

This number calls our home 2-4 times a day every day!Used to leave long drawn out nasty messages.No longer- now the phone rings and rings and no message-I told them to stop!Just an over all nightmare! I got a phone call this morning from what they said was my local sheriffs department telling me I’m getting served with papers hmm since when do people get served over the phone? Well anyways they gave me a 1844 number to call to get more information about this case. I called and they answered litigations how may I help you? Told me to give them my debit card number to pay off what I’m being sued for. FYI according to them I’m being sued on 3 different charges and I wasn’t even aware of it. Called my local sheriffs office they said this is a scam.

They also emailed me saying they were from Metcredit. How they got my cell phone and email not sure. Total scam and they will keep calling you. They also have payment options in their email which goes to a phoney but realistic pay centre.

Calling for someone I don't know. I've had my number for over 15 years. I have an unlisted number. The computer voice said it is for Met Credit on behalf of Telus. My Telus bill is fully paid every month. It calls me 3 or more times a day and now I also got a call from 800 435-0566. It seems to me like someone got my number from some list somewhere and is just fishing for scared people who will pay them to leave them alone. Total scam.
