This call was indeed from my credit union's Fraud department, as Walmart's ordering system is so messed up it triggered 4 "preauthorization" checks which my CU thought was suspicious.

I am not a member of Sound Credit Union and I called them to confirm an account hadn’t been opened in my name. The number did leave a voicemail but it was 30 seconds of clicking. Someone may be spoofing SCU’s fraud prevention line. Just be careful and don’t give any info.

This is a legitimate call from the Sound Credit Union Fraud Prevention Dept. I received 2 calls within 5 minutes of each other, verifying a large purchase amount that was outside of my normal purchases. I wasn't certain it was legitimate, so I called the Sound CU's local number, they confirmed it was the Fraud Prevention Dept., so I asked to be connected. They are working to prevent fraud. If in doubt, call the credit union's local number and ask to be connected.
