Said that I had an outstanding Payday loan .... which I do not... and that it was attached to my phone number. Threatened with legal action. I told them DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN. They called 2 hours later. They call everyday using a different number and never leave messages. The number they call me from is 203-580-1876.

Someone kept calling from 203-244-4050 when I finally answered it he said that I had taken out a payday loan between 2008 and 2012 but wouldn’t give me any more information about what company it was or anything. He said I was being sued for over $3000 but that if I would hold he would see what he could do. He said they would settle for $600 or for 5 monthly payments of $250 if I couldn’t pay it all today. I said I had never taken out a payday loan. He gave me the phone number 844-647-9753 to call back if I wanted to take care of it before they filed because if they filed I would have to pay back over $3000. His name was John Wells and said he worked for Meyer Litigation. So I googled the company name and what do you know? There’s not a company with that name that has a John Wells that works for them.

Debt Collector: Meyers Litigation for Payday Loan (Debt collector) reported by


I received a call today, Tues. Sept. 4th, 2018 from a rep. named Lizila or Lisa... She stated that I took out a loan sometime around 2009 from Payday Loan. And now calling to collect the debt of a little over $1000. That was about 9 years ago. First off, I dont remember taking out a loan from this service.. again... it was 9 years ago. Not going to lie, I panicked at first only because she threatened to take this to court immediately if I dont pay up $400 now or schedule a payment plan of $250 for the next few months. She was only able to give me my old information such as work history and old living address. But nothing more beyond that point. I have to admit she was close and I almost fell for it. But I started to ask her some questions about the loaner, Payday Loan and some other questions about her company, Meyers Litigation. she said that she was not allowed to give me information about the loaner.. no phone number, no website, no other contact information. Just a case number. Now things stated to get fishy and nothing added up at all. So then I asked about Meyers. I asked for their business license but she stated that she was not allowed to give me that information. then I asked to speak with a supervisor and she proceeded to say that she was in charge. I said "how are you an accredited service if you cannot give me your business license # as a debt collector" ... she had no response. Aren't debt collectors supposed to provide all that information since its public records? So i asked her to send my a formal letter of the debt or even email me and again.. she stated that she cannot do that. So i asked if they had a website i can look at, but she said no and that they do not need one. FYI, I check the BBB Meyers Litigation is not listed as a Debt Collector agency.

I got the same call yesterday and again today ...with the same scenario. She wont give me any information but said that I will be taken to court. I asked for a copy of the loan agreement and the date of the last payment made on that account and she said she couldn't provide me that information. She said it was sealed documents. She said if I wanted the information I would have to have my attorney request it.

Said civil lawsuit for a loan with direct loans . (Debt collector) reported by


Phone call stating I owed payment for a direct payday loan and it was civil lawsuit being filed and if not paid I will be facing court appearance and will need to pay them. They were negotiating for the lender. I don’t remeber getting the loan but had all my information

Said I owed Payday loan from 2013, which I filed bankruptcy on in 2014 and loan was dismissed. Said a company was after me not for the loan, but for the bad check written against the loan. Told them I would have my attorney call them. They called from number 203-343-0138 but told me to call the 844-647-0753 number back to reach them.
