Stating they are calling from National Collegiate Loan (Debt collector) reported by


The caller called my place of employment stating they were with a collection agency. I didn't understand what he said. He then asked about my grandmother and asked me to verify my DOB and my address. I asked why he needed that information and what this was about and he said it was about a debt with National Collegiate Trust Student Loans. Those loans were written off mine and my grandmother's accounts YEARS ago, and she even paid taxes on it. It is on neither of our credit reports either. So I just hung up on him.

The caller said that his call is recorded for a quality purposes. Then he said that all falsified information will be prosecuted and can be charged in jail. Then the caller asked unclearly someone's name. I said that he has a wrong number; the caller asked "what is a direct number". I repeated that he dialed a wrong number. Then he suddenly disconnected. It was #(844)709-3688. So, be careful!

This number has called my phone 6 times this month. I answered once. They claim to be debt collectors for someone who is not me. They ask for my personal information. I don't know the name of the company or who they are calling about. This is an unsolicited harassing call. I blocked the number this morning.
