Debt collection agency that buys old debts for Pennie’s on the dollar to then attempt to harass people into paying an inflated amount. Even if the statute of limitations has passed on the debt being legally necessary to pay. Do NOT acknowledge the debt even if you tell them your name (or that you know the person they’re looking for) or else that will restart the timer on the statute of limitations, making you again liable for the debt. Check your local laws to see what they have set as the statute of limitations for debt collection so you know if they’re trying to come at you for a debt that may not even legally exist any more. Once that time has passed you can then get the debt removed from your credit reports by contacting the credit agencies &/or your government tax/credit bureau.

a person called me asking to confirm an address without even asking who I was. they got aggressive when I said I'll google your organization and call you back from the number listed. when I said I couldn't hear them because they kept speaking over my questions they hung up. whatever lol
