Phony Mortgage Collection Call (Scam call) reported by


Called claiming to be the collections department for BMO Harris Bank, my mortgage provider. 3 different reps left voicemails 3 days in a row, but it's been 2 weeks since then with no further calls. I have never been late on my mortgage payment, it is auto-debited the first of every month. I contacted BMO Harris and they confirmed the account is in good standing. I suspect this is a scam.

Dovenmuehle Mortgage called, but did not leave any message. Researched online, and this caller seems to make a shady mortgage related calls; pretending as an associate or a member of current mortgage company, and demand a falsely created payment. Not a reputable mortgage company.

This number called me twice (didn't pick up the first time, call back hits dead end). On 2nd call, they claimed to be Amerifirst Financial (lady had hard time pronouncing who she supposedly represented). Claimed I owed $5,436 and asked if I would like to pay over the phone. Total SCAM, since I KNOW I am current.
