Left me a voicemail that said: Hi, this is Bree Williams agent 0126. Looks like your student loan has been flagged eligible for the recent stimulus forgiveness and release legislation. However, your application does need to be completed. This applies to all loan statuses even those loans in default and garnishment. If you could please call your dedicated eligibility line at 855-240-0556 we can have this applied immediately. Benefits are offered on a first come first serve basis. Your eligibility line again is 855-240-0556. Please make sure to supply your personal validation code SL 5000.

Complete scam. They call you and then ask for your full name. If they are forgiving a loan and are calling you, they should already have my full name. Otherwise how are they going to forgive my loan (FYI - I have no student loan, this is how I knew it was a scam from the outset).

This was an unsolicited phone call left as a message on my voicemail. The automated caller made claims that my student loan was eligible for current student loan forgiveness legislation but that I had to finish registering and claim my "spot". They make a sense of urgency in that it is only first come first serve to receive this benefit.
