They left voicemail addressing me with my correct proper name and asked me to call back to same number, probably for billing. I used to be a dialysis patient, but haven't gone back since over a year now because only by accident it had turned out that I don't need dialysis anymore (my kidneys self-healed - I know it's like a miracle)! As a matter of fact, I always felt worse while on dialysis and had to demand to have far less liquid taken out of me. And I also had the feeling they were pushing - unnecessary - dialysis for profit reasons. Well, they probably want what Medicare didn't pay.

Congrats on the self-healing. Like changing water into wine isn't it? :-) I got a call from that same number they said only Fresenius and wanted my address and birthday before telling me what it was about. I explained there was no way to distinguish them from a phishing call but would consider giving them the info if they gave me a non-confidential, general idea what call was about. Even that they could not do. Sounded amateurish. Told them to give me ref.case.# to call back (while I researched the number on the web). Even this they could not do. If they are legit, they don't seem very accomodating to people who rightfully don't give our personal info at random. My impression, rookie debt collectors. btw - I agree Fresenius seems to push tests, procedures, etc. that seem superfluous. They also send co-pay bills that don't itemize and for service dates I know nothing about. Contacted their billing once and got another version of a bill that was equally uninformative.
