Fake Google listing call (Scam call) reported by


The same prerecorded robocall wanting you to update your Google listing that I have received from hundreds of different numbers. They want you to either speak to a representative, or to press a button to supposedly be added to their "do not call" list. IF YOU DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN HANG UP, IT IS A TRAP. ANY activity on your part/any buttons you press simply lets the calling party know that there is a live person at your telephone number, and that is all they need to know to focus attention on you. That means that you will be bombarded with calls not only from them, but from other spammers and scammers with whom they share information inside their network(s). Just hang up. It's a fraud as sure as anything; they just want to try to get personal information out of you, AND (even better for them) have all of their friends carpet-bomb you with phone calls. BEWARE!
