Guy with heavy foreign accent named himself officer Mark Anderson from IRS who couldn't read my last name correctly, said that IRS opened the case JR 7416 against me because I missed to file my taxes on time this year and have problems with the last year taxes too. He asked whether I have a lawyer who should contact him. My tax preparator told me that IRS would never call in one month after deadline. It could happened minimum after one year but first they contact over the mail.

The voicemail left by these people had an automated voice tell me I should not ignore the call and if they did not hear from my attorney they would not be to blame. Funny, I don't even know why they called. ****

Claims she was from IRS. Said she mailed me two letters. Never got anything in the mail from her. I told her I couldn't understand her heavy accent. She hung up on me.

They left an automated message saying that if I don't call back, legal action will be taken against me.... for what?! When I called back, some foreign lady answers,I cussed her out, threatened legal action of my own.They said they were the IRS.Its *,my friend had them tell him they were watching his house.Its a scam!

I just received the same message as described above, except the beginning of the message was cut off, so all I heard was: "860 215377. I repeat. It's 860 215377 don't disregard this message do return the call now if you don't return the call, and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck as the situation unfolds on you. Goodbye. Also, the voice sounded recorded.

I just received same call started swearing at me. Saying it was the IRS.

Yup

Same deal here. Left vm intended to scare me into calling them back exactly as you characterized. Obviously not calling back.
