TYPICAL FEMALE VOICE I HAVE HEARD BEFORE CALLED ASKING HOW MANY MILES WERE ON MY CAR AND THAT THE CAR WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. TRIED TO CREATE A WORST CASE SCENARIO OF A CAR ENGINE BLOWOUT RESULTING IN THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF REPAIR. SEVERAL AUTO EXTENDED WARRANTY/SERVICE CONTRACT FIRMS ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION BY VARIOUS STATES' ATTORNEY GENERALS FOR FRAUD. SOME HAVE BEEN INDICTED BUT CONTINUE TO USE THE INTERNET AND SENT UNSOLICITED INFO VIA THE USPS -- CARSHIELD AND FENIX ARE MAJOR VIOLATORS. IN 2018, THE NJ ATTORNEY GENERAL TOOK STANLEY WARRANTY LLC TO COURT FOR FRAUD AND OTHER FELONY OFFENSES. THE COMPANY WAS FINED AND ORDERED TO CEASE BUSINESS -- IT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS FOR EVERY PERSON WHO HAD BEEN TAKEN.
