They were calling me twice a day everyday, and I finally got fed up and answered it. I had a hospital stay within the last 8 months- HeartSan Methodist Hospital, and they sold my name on a list. This company uses that information to gain more information to sell you a service; asking first that you confirm your address. Not a chance! I told them to take me off their list. They were flagged by AT&T as span and were going into my Call protect log, but i had to find out if it was legit. It was NOT.

They call every day, sometimes more than once. They never leave a number and anytime I've tried to answer it, there's no one there and the line disconnects. AT&T and HiYa both call it a "Spam Risk". I think that says it all.

Called themselves Physicians Services and asked for me. (Debt collector) reported by


They called and asked for me. I would not acknowledge myself and asked why they were calling. They said they were calling about a Dr. Bill. I asked if they were a bill collector and they said no. I blocked the call, because I am unaware of any recent outstanding bill I owe and have not recieved anything in the mail, but they still call EVERY DAY. It is now 8:30 am Sunday morning and they just tried to call again. That is against the Federal bill collecting laws. I don't want to acknowledge myself because if it is an old bill and I talk to them about it, the clock starts ticking all over on the time they have to collect. So I guess they can keep calling and will keep getting blocked.

It was weird. It started with the sounds like they were at a party, and then the caller started talking way too quietly for me to hear him over it, and he asked if he was speaking to me, but he used my deadname so I hung up.

ER visit payment (Unsolicited call) reported by


Called and they they were with my hospitals billing department and making a courtesy call about an ER visit I had. Was correct hospital and name of insurance but said the insurance company was only paying 8% and wanted to know if we could do a 3 way call to rectify. They said they had the number and wanted me to give me insurance number. When I said they should have that for billing they said they do not keep it because of HIPAA (which as a nurse administrator raised red flags). I checked on my own with my insurance company and everything was covered appropriately. They have called since but I do not answer and they do not leave a number.

Portfolio Recovery Specialists. They are the lowest of the low. Sleazy, crooked debt collectors. They buy old debt that is 10 or 15 or more years old that legally they can't collect on and then they try to strong arm you to collect it. They have a myriad of numbers. The worst. Don't answer.

The woman who called said she was calling about an ER visit and payment. I told her that the bill was already paid through our insurance company and the remainder by us and there is no reason they should be calling. I hung up on her.

I spoke with an Indian lady named "Emily" the company is called providers services, they told me they were calling about an ER visit at my local hospital. Docs name and date are correct. I called my local hospital and verified that Providers Services is their third party billing agency. I handled my bill directly with the hospital. I rated neutral, because it sounded shady, and is a **** poor method for the hospital to handle their billing even though it is legit.
