Someone purchase an Amazon gift card under my name for $500.00. Told me that someone is using my IP id and credit information. Wanted to scan my system to take out illegal users.

They advised someone trying to purchase an Amazon gift card (Scam call) reported by


They stated someone in "Daytona Ohio" trying to purchase a $1000 Amazon gift card. They had heavy French accent and I had to ask for a different agent as i apologized i could not understand what they were saying. They mentioned me needing to block an IP address from my computer and offered to log-in and help me do that as I stated I did not know how..I declined their help and hung up. Called my bank and there were no unauthorized purchases..pretty slick.

Robot call reporting a possible fraudulent charge on my Amazon account. It is the same number used by scammers on computer that says it is Microsoft. The people who put the virus scam on your computer saying it will lock down if you close.
