I spoke with a RN at Anthem Blue Cross, and she had all my recent medical history. Was very helpful. Anthem called to inform me of their free RN advice #. It's also on the back of my insurance card.

Actually it's a registered nurse calling you and it has nothing to do with selling services. They need to verify your information for hippa before they can tell you exactly why they're calling -annoying federal regulation. If they "hung up" on you it was most likely an unintentional phone disconnect

They seems to be a legit Anthem service. The first time they called me a few years ago I called my Anthem BCBS direct to verify them. It is a horribly built way to contact clients though. They require DOB and Address before they'll talk to you, which you should never give an incoming caller. So that's stupid. However, in calling Anthem direct and getting transferred to them, it seems legit. They're there to tell you what other services you have access to when you've used the An them BCBS for various reasons. And they did have a pretty good idea of what I'd used them for.

It’s like everyone is saying. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. They called wanting me to speak to a nurse but none were available. It seemed like a scam at first but I’m not seeing any suspicious activity on my credit report.

I work as a nurse here. It is not a scam- we are just always on the phone and are busier than normal related to COVID-19. The non- licensed personnel call you then connect you to us so you can learn about programs available to you or do we can help you medically manage your health conditions if that is needed (included in your insurance plan). I apologize that we may all have been busy with other members at the time the call was made to you

called back and got through to an operator. No notes made why I was called but she did show record that I had been called. Agent calling left for the day after calling me. No voice-mail left after missed call

They called to attempt to have me speak with a "health advocate nurse" to evaluate my medical questions. It was an unsolicited call from my insurance company. However, they appear to be an aux or contracted company dealing with ABCBS not the main company itself. When I said I didn't have a need for their service, they thanked me and promptly hung up. Not a fake number or company, they were just trying to sell us additional services through our health care. Kind of shady in this day and age.

Friendly and Helpful. I was a few weeks new to Blue Cross Blue Shield and happened to go into the hospital for an early induced labor. The nurse assigned to me called to see how I was doing after a few days postpartum and to also explain some very helpful yet optional resource services I could use as a healthcare member.

Called out of the blue and abruptly asked for verifying information. I called back after verifying the number was legitimate. I was concerned it was a scam looking for personal information. Not very professional. Once I talked to a person, they were trying to enroll me in a program. So it was just an advertisement. I declined the service.
