Called for my child but wrong name gave away it was a scam. (Scam call) reported by


First off, Duke has 919 area code numbers and I'm local. My child's name is updated in their billing system to their preferred name but this call referred to them as their birth name. Computer call, asking to return their call to a different number. I logged in and have $0 balance and no appointments upcoming, def a scam.

They called from 888-265-9381 but told me to call them back at 1-866-620-4644. They did not address me by name and said they were from Duke Health Patient Accounting and could not process a payment due to an incorrect account number.

Student Loan "Refinance" (Scam call) reported by


This number called me today 7/26/2019 at 10:30am. They said it was "In reference of your Student Loan changes" yet I have had no student loans open for 8 years. This company was attempting to be "real" by supplying a "Reference number" for when you all back. Called them back and they want your Social, address, mothers maiden name, DoB etc. all information hat people would use to perpetuate identity theft. Gave them all lies including an SS# that was fictitious info to screen them. DO NOT ANSWER - it may show up as "Unknown" but the call back # is the same one noted here.
