If First Source is a legit debt collector they are REQUIRED BY U.S. LAW to inform the debtor IN WRITING of the debt. The letter must include who the debtor owes, the amount owed, date(s) of debt, any amounts paid (if applicable), a contact address and phone number for First Source and a First Source contact name. First Source is a scam or some operation trying to make money attempting to collect debts that have long been written off by the company owed or are long past their statute of limitations on collecting a debt. There is a reason they don't put in writing.

This number has called me 3 times in two days. I decided not to andwer the first two times, then the third one I answered. They asked for my mother (using her maiden name which she hasn't used in years). I said I was not that person and who they were. They replied with a laugh and a "I will delete your number so we don't call you again" and then hung up. I've blocked the number now.

Everytime they leave a voicemail it’s 16 seconds long of hearing typing in the background or them just saying hello once or twice. Definitely think this is a scam call.

He has called me 6 times today from 3 different numbers. I told him I was reporting him to the police for prosecution of the National Do Not Call Registry, and then he called me from this number again...I don't know what else to do to stop these calls.

My elderly mother lives with me. She's 90 years old. I answered her phone for her, as she was in he hospital. The person on the other end identifies himself as calling from American Financial Services. I ask, what's this about. He gets dodgy and says "I'm calling related to business." I ask for more details. He refuses to tell me. I tell him my mother is 90 years old and has no business interest and I have power of attorney. "OK let me give you my fax number..." He wants me to fill out the power of attorney and fax it to him. Why would I do that, if I don't know what this call is about? Again, he refuses to tell me. He claimed he was going to remove her number, but I looked on the call logs, he's called my mom every day... I've since blocked this number from her own service. It feels like a scam because he wouldn't identify what the "buisness" was, and since my mother is 90 years old she has no business to speak of. Him asking me to fill out a power of attorney, so he could then tell me what it's about felt like phishing for my info.

(Suspected) robocall, claimed to be calling to talk to someone else, with a number to call if it was a WRONG number. Since I've had the same number for 20+years, its unlikely it was an "accidental" wrong number. Sceams "scam!".
