Transcript from my voicemail: Hi yes this is Melissa sent in my agent ID 80136 I'm calling you today in reference to your student loans and I need to discuss your payment options with you um there's an urgent changes to your account _****_****_****_ _****_****_****_****_ _****_****_****_****_****_ recently so if you can call me back as soon as possible the number is 866-861-5070 and I'm also gonna go ahead and give _****_****_ a reference number to have handy when you call back um it would just make things a lot easier if you have that that number is 25342 and _****_****_****_****_****_****_****_ this is time sensitive I've gone ahead and extend the matter to remain open on your account until Friday so again the number is 866-861-5070 thank you so much…”

I let the phone call go to voice mail. Voice maail contained the following information: * Agent ID 0136 * Reference number 25342 * Phone numbe r 866-861-5050 * "We want to discuss payment options with you. We extended your deadline to Friday. Case sensitive". Major item of concern is how did they get my phone number (about my loan) or are they bot dialing. My student loan is paid off in early Sept. I called the number back 5 time and got a busy signal. Wasted 30 minutes investigating this fraudulent cold call.

The voicemail sounded like it was coming from the company that actually covers my student loan. And they stated that there had been some recent changes to my account that needed my attention. When I called back it turned out to be financial services offering student loan forgiveness. When I asked them if they worked for the department of education, they said they did not. I told them that the only people that can give a student loan forgiveness is the Department of Education so they hung up on me.

Call came in saying that it was about my student loan debt and it was urgent. Gave me a reference number the girl left her name and I called back and of course they immediately start pumping me with questions about how much I owe and what kind of payment plan I was on etc. Rude. Hung up on 4 times. Reporting to FCC
