Scammer pretending to be CBCC (Scam call) reported by


Got a text message from this number saying "Voicemail 1 New 0 Urgent" it's a link they are trying to make me click to "listen to my voicemail" when in reality if I click the link they are just going to hack me! When I googled the number, everywhere says it's CBCC, but definitely isn't actually them, it must be a scam company pretending to be CBCC.

Multiple calls press 1 to speak to an operator. There is no operator available at this time. Leaves the following message on my phone: "This is a message for (a person whom I assume had my number before me. I've had this number for 2 years god damn it STOP CALLING ME!) from Credit Bureau of Canada Collections regarding an important business matter, this is not a sales call. We can be reached at 866-887-5342, and when calling please reference fill # -some number-. Our mailing address is 1450 Myerside Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L5T 2N5. Again our toll free number 866-887-5342 and when calling please reference file # -some number- This is a scam the one time I got to speak to a person he spoke in a heavy accent and I heard Pakistani conversations in the background. I don't think this call center is in Canada at all, and since they use VOIP connection they can change their number to avoid blocks.

Robo-call asking you to push 1 to speak to someone. The usual click and wait until the next scammer/operator is online. They then ask silly questions, with a foreign accent, like what your number is. I asked "Don't you have call display?" and they got rude and hung up. Must be a scam
