They called 3x times in one day. I missed their first call (no message left). I was hing up on the 2nd time. So i googled the number. Found out it might be Consumers. Checked my account online. Everything was fine. 3rd call had a robo message.

It's a scam. They attempt to get payment via payment apps like zelle. Huge red flag. My wife's cousin was taken for 299. Go online to pay the bill on the actual consumers web page. If this call comes in tell them thank you will drive to consumers building pay it in person. Don't give any information

Called me twice when I answered the phone the first time they hung up on me. When it called the second time pressed one of the prompts and then it hung up on me. Caller ID said it was from Consumers Energy so I called the number on my bill for them. I gave them the number it came from and they said it wasn't them so I blocked the number

This is a robocall from Consumers Energy notifying customers of past due bills. I thought it was a scam because I use autopay. Well, it turned out that my credit card had expired and I had forgotten to add the information for the new card. Oops. I never did call the number, I just checked my account status online.

A robot lady said this was Consumers Energy and gave me my account #. The funny is that I moved out of my old apartment 6 months ago and don't have to deal with them anymore. I had paper billing so I never created an online account. I tried entering in the # they gave me on the website while making one along with my old zip code just to be safe. Guess what happened next? Their system didn't even recognize it. Nice try scammers lol.

Didn't answer, left voicemail. Robo voice claimed to be from Consumers with information regarding my account, and asked to call them back, but recited phone number in French or Germain. I'm not a language expert but it wasn't English and it wasn't Spanish, as I'm fluent in both. In all the years I've dealt with consumers, they've never called. They send letters in the mail, or email, as I opted for paperless billing.
