They have been calling my number looking for an Anton Victor for TEN YEARS. I have told them so many times to stop, they fill up my messages, they call me twice a day, it's beyond annoying. I have blocked like ten different numbers from this company and it won't stop.

Lol these **** aren't even trying anymore. They used to go after really old debt that you actually did have in the past,hoping you are unaware that there are time limitations for collection, but now they seem to just pull purely fake debts out of their magic hats. I am in Canada so as an American debt collector its a waste of time and payroll to even be calling me!

Collection Action that buys extremely old debts!!! (Debt collector) reported by


I have some extremely old debts (from May-August 2007), which makes them 14 years old. I went through some really tough times back then and lost pretty much everything (my jobs, house, credit, etc.). I could barely afford to put food in my fridge, let alone pay for debts. There are a few collection agencies that purchase these old debts for pennies on the dollar and then try to scare you into paying them. If you pay these debts, it goes to the Collection Agency only, not the company that you originally defaulted the debt with. Legally, a collection agency cannot bring you to court if 2 years have passed since the day you defaulted paying the debt. HOWEVER, if you talk to any collection agency & acknowledge the debt in any way (e.x. Yes, this is my debt, etc.), it will once again be legal for them to bring you to court. DO NOT EVER acknowledge the debt, confirm your identity, or discuss repayment plans with any Collection Agency that is calling you about old debts (unless you wish to move forward with paying them off). These agencies are supposed to leave you alone if you state "I dispute this debt" or "This debt does not belong to me", etc. If they continue to contact you after you dispute the debt, file a complaint. They get away with calling continuously because they don't leave messages on voicemails (so it's not counted towards their limits). I found all of this information through diligently researching debts, collection agencies & my rights; you should all do this as well to protect yourself. Good luck!

Make a complaint to the Registrar Office of the Ontario government and consumer services... Phone number 416-325-8305 Get their license number from the website of the government and consumer services. File an official complaint. Dont use Better Business Bureau. They dont have the power to set penalties or revoke a collection liscense. The Registrar does have the power. Your complaint will be logged. Each and everyone one of you should do this. There is also an online form you can fill in. The more people that do this... the better There is no prohibition on calling. But once a cease and desist letter or they have repeatedly called asking for someone other then yourself after you told them you are NOT that person. They get away with this because there hasn't been many complaints to the REGISTRAR of ontario

Robocall asking for someone I used to know. Little concerning how they got my number. Even gave a file number and email address. It asked if I was the person press one, if I was not to call in or email to remove my number from the file. I did neither after searching on the internet for background information on Action Collection.
