"Elizabeth" called me and stated my name. Claimed my card used for payment didn't go through and wasn't active since December 2023. I have statements proving I have been paying since then. They said it was urgent and to call them back at this number and extension 1010917. I went to my AAA Branch and confirmed everything was current and up to date. I gave them this phone number and asked if this was a number they used. They said no, and they do not have an Elizabeth working at that extension. Sounds like a scam call to me. I wouldn't recommend ever calling the number provided in your voicemail and reach out to your local branch.

They called because they said I haven't paid my renter's insurance and had my home address. At first that seemed legit, but thinking why are they asking about that renter's insurance when my car insurance is also included in the payment? Why wouldn't they just mention the payment overall? She also had a weird recording saying this call is going to be recorded and played at the same time she talked which didn't seem very legit. I mean AAA wouldn't have a cheesy recording interrupt while we were talking if if this was a legitimate call. I just said I would handle in person and don't have time to talk on the phone.

Got a call from "Julie" at (866) 907-22xx x 10331xx. She "claims" she is calling from AAA, and is handling this issue personally so I need to call her back personally at this #. She wants authorization to re-run my VISA card for this month's payment. Funny thing... I pay my auto insurance up front in full. Amazing to me how many people reported here fell for this. I called AAA directly, and they have no record of this phone number as one of their call centers. Don't be a gullible consumer. Call the company directly on a number you KNOW to be accurate.
