I spoke with Specrtrum at their published customer service number, not the number on the voice mail. She stated that she could see all incoming and outgoing calls about my account and there had not been any in a extended time frame. She also stated that the number that called me was not associated with Spectrum.

Called to inform that Spectrum bill is past due by leaving the usual message of "There is an important update in the status of your account". They are just a typical outsourced call center relaying info on Spectrum's behalf.

Left a voicemail about a change in account details. I received the call because I missed the payment last month due to family issues and now owe 2 months so it's a robo call stating I'm behind. That's all.

same here. Spectrum about a past due bill. However, they don't state it in the message, but if you check the account in the name it mentions, it normally shows a past due amount. You should never pickup the call or call them back, though, since they will sometimes have one of their call center people try to steal your info, since they are just a call center, rather than spectrum themselves.

Didn't return the phone call, but checked my Spectrum account online and I did have a payment due. Earlier received a text from Spectrum reminding me of a bill that was due, and the link in that text was legit.

I called Spectrum and reported this number to them. It is NOT a Spectrum telephone number. An Indian man called and said he was calling from my cable company. When I asked him which one he stalled. Took him a few minutes to produce the name. Said I owed money. I don’t. Another phishing scam.

I have talked with a representative in the past and as other posters have stated they try to get credit card information. When I told the rep I had auto pay and I was looking at my account and it was not past due. When I told the rep I was going to file a complaint that I was receiving "harassing" calls, they disconnected.

It said it was Spectrum. It said we were behind on payments, even tho we have autopay. It asked for credit card number over the phone. Official Spectrum site states: "Spectrum will never ask you: For your credit card, debit card or checking account information...". It's identity theft.
