I received a letter stating that a creditor is willing to settle an outstanding debt. Letter contains no business information. No name, no address, and an incorrect quote of the Credit Card Accountability, and Disclosure act. When I call the number I was asked for my processing number. When I asked for information about the company I was "transferred". I was put on hold for exactly 3 min. 4 sec. 3 times in a row.

Said they were charter wanting my son to pay a past due amount. The son they asked for is autistic and mute (he has been since birth) when I told them that they said I was a liar and wanted proof. I hung up in them and called the real charter. They said the number was not theirs.
