I work for a county entity in WA State. The individual named "Sara" called our government phone line stating she was a "County Courier" attempting to deliver legal documents which we had refused. That she would continue to call and next step was to send individuals to our private residence(s) to attempt delivery. In order to stop this we needed to call 866-976-5604. The number she called from was from our area code. The statements she made were untrue, this department receives legal documents on a regular basis, would not refuse legal documents. This call was reported to appropriate authorities.

It looks like she is calling from a local cell phone number, but the number she leaves for me to call is 866-976-5604. I am hoping everyone on this page is correct and it's a scam and will go away. I don't have any legal issues, at least that I know of!

"I attempted to serve you at your residence or place of employment to gain your signature in regards to these legal documents; however I was unsuccessful in doing so now I am obligated to surrender these documents as a direct refusal to sign. So this person called me on a unknown/private number and left me a voice message saying something very similar to what you wrote. I have not called the number she provided but this is * me off since it made me worried for a sec.
