They said it was the IRS and that there was a warrant out for my arrest. I was able to get a so called badge number(10112) and when a asked what was the name for the warrant. They could not give to me my name. They just want my cell number. I want to know what name was on the warrant, because, the phone is not in my name. They would not give any information and the guy hang up on me.

They called and left a message saying a warrant was issues for my arrest and to call a number to resolve it. I called the number and spoke with a man with a strong Indian accent demanding almost $5000 today. I kept asking for a call back number and person I could speak to verify the information and was telling him I did not have that kind of money, he told me that if the call was disconnected, a warrant would be immediately issued for my arrest. He tried to tell me to ask family members, to make a 3 way call to someone to ask for it. He said I had to the end of the day to pay it but then said there wasn't a call back number. When there was talk of possibility of payment, they actually transferred me to a "supervisor" who was "only here to take payment information."

The recording said it was an IRS agent and that an arrest warrant had been issued to call back a different number to solve the issue. The IRS never calls they send letters.

I called back at the number directed. I had to ask several times who it was and what it was pertaining. When I said I did not call them initially and that they were a scam. They wanted to know why I thought so. I explained and he very quickly hung up! I also told them I was reporting the call.
