Blocked the number. Does not leave message. Why people answer unknown phone calls is a mystery to me. If the caller knows you, you should have them in your phone's contacts. Otherwise, let them leave a message. Answering unknown callers just confirms your number is "Active". Stop it. Do not engage with or answer unknown callers, it is not useful.

I called the number because I just noticed they had called my FIDO cell phone number for the past six days straight (Including Saturday and Sunday) at different times each day. I hadn't used the phone for several days as it was dead. That's why I hadn't answered it. Calling the number got a recording "Welcome to the Bell Canada Promotions Centre". I waited until someone answered and asked them why they have called my cell phone for the past six days straight. The response is as annoying as seeing the number of repeat calls. "We're allowed to call you because your number is not on the Do Not Call List!" (Female with a pretty thick Indian accent.) Just because they have an accent (Indian or otherwise) doesn't mean they are scammers based in another country. So it's not "technically" a scam, it's a (more or less) legitimate company. Worth noting is that I just got this cell phone/number about 6 weeks ago. And it's a Fido (Rogers) cell phone. So I guess Bell feels obligated to call incessantly trying to get you to switch carriers. Even though they should be smart enough to know people that just got the phone will likely be on a 2 year contract.... (Yes, I'm implying they are ignorant and/or intelligence challenged.) Advise: Get all your numbers added to the do not call list as it seems these telepanhandlers think it's their right to bug you whenever they like, trying to sell you something you probably don't want, need, or can afford.

Offered a cellphone (Samsung Galaxie A03) + Bell plan,for $33x24 months and claimed they would simultaneously knock $10 a month off my internet service. Said I wanted to think about it and to call back in 3 days, she balked, claimed plan deal was over in 2 days. Heard her Indian accent and smelled a rat, but then began to think she was legit and I was overreacting because too many scammers sound like her, but, then again, so do honest people who **** from that part of the world. In retrospect, she claimed to have been born in Canada, but then why would she retain that very prominent accent? All my friends grew up in German, Polish, Russian, etc households, yet none of them speak English with their parent's accent. I once again smell a rat.

THIS IS NOT BELL. ITS A SCAMMER. I CALLED BELL AND THEY SAID THESE PEOPLE ARE POSING AS THEM. THEY ASK FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

If you called Bell they wouldn't have told you they are scammers. I called the number back directly and the auto-attendant answered that it is/was the Bell Canada Promotions Centre. So no one is "posing". The number IS Bell Canada.
