Left voice mail on my phone then a minute later on my husband’s phone asking us to call back about an unusual transaction on our account. I called the Wells Fargo number on the back of my credit card who confirmed my account is fine. SCAMMER!!

I received several calls from this number saying it's Wells Fargo Fraud and they tried to get my info. I didn't give them any and called Wells Fargo immediately. IT'S A SCAM.I went to a WF branch and they confirmed- it's not a REAL WF Fraud number. I also confirmed with WF online banking. They said they would be able to see if there was a fraud alert on my account and of course, there wasn’t. BEWARE - When you call the number back - it even has a Wells Fargo recorded message - BEWARE it sounds exactly like the real Wells Fargo but it's a fake scammer.

Fraud

Went to my local branch and confirmed that this is not a real WF number. Call back number message sound real but it is not. Local branch confirmed that WF does not use a message like that.

The "caller" Michelle Mitchell is a prerecorded message, that's very obvious. I have previously received actual fraud possible calls from Wells Fargo and while this one may sound for real, Wells Fargo will address you by name in any message they leave, this prerecorded message does not do that. I have also had repeated calls from this number with the same "code" 22427891 within just a few minutes of each with the SAME prerecorded message from Michelle Mitchell.
