I received this text: FreeMsg: BMO Harris Bank Fraud Ctr: 18774352371 Case 18434523 Did you attempt $89.95 at GUARANTEED DEAL with card x[redacted]? Reply YES or NO. Opt Out reply STOP Since I didn't recognize that purchase, I said no, and then got this message: FreeMsg: BMO Harris Bank Fraud Ctr: Thank you. Your card is temporarily locked. We will call, or you may call 18774352371 with Case 18434523. Opt Out reply STOP They then called me and left me on hold so long that I looked up the number in case it was a fraud. I don't know what to do either way.

Supposed BMO fraud department. I called the number on the back of my card and spoke with a BMO representative. I had a new card sent to me. They were unaware of the "fraudulent" activity that I got the original call about.

I called the customer service number on the back of my card and asked for the fraud department. I told them I had received a text to call this number back regarding an attempt to use it for a purchase and wanted to verify it was them. They said this number is not affiliated with BMO. These people had the last 4 digits of my cc number and my cell number so I had my card replaced.

Received a Text Message stating it was BMO Harris bank with a fraud alert on a debit card. They provided the last four digits of the card number. I called the number on the back of the card and verified that this was BMO Harris Fraud Department and someone had used the card in Brazil.

Anyone with an account can check it to verify purchase. Everyone needs to be vigilant more as scammers are plenty now adays. Research first before answering. If I don't recognize the number I don't pick up nor do I call back if message isn't left from legit place after I research it first. Even if i get a suspicious text from someone I know I talk to then then share it other ways.

This is one of several very recent calls where "they" know my bank and the last four of my debit card number and my cell phone number because I have received text stating this phone number in the text, as well as a phone call with this Caller ID number. This specific call was they asked me to verify my name and then asked me to verify my birth year, I hung up. I did call the number back and they stated they were BMO harris fraud department, but this number is not on the back of my card
