I made an appt three weeks ago for a consultation for a "down to the studs" bathroom remodel. Today they called to confirm appt in 2 days. Woman that made appt apparently didn't take notes. Man who called said they only replace fixtures. No walls, no floors, no plumbing, no windows. Sears remodeling apparently doesn't do remodeling. Looking into Home Depot now.........

According to comments, the call is from Sears. They income last week to do an estimate for windows. Their prices are ridiculous and id they go out of business, the warranty won't be any good.

I am getting bids on a kitchen renovation. Sears contacted me through Home Adviser and we set up an appointment. This is the second time these "Sears" people have called to tell me they cannot keep a scheduled appointment we had. When they canceled the last appointment I told the lady (same lady for both calls) that if they cancel this 2nd appointment, that would be their last chance! I would be very leery of having any dealings with a company that can't even keep scheduled in advance appointments! I bet when they start the job you hired them for they take your money and run or don't complete the work in a timely manner! Consumer be ware!!!

I wouldn't normally have answered except that the little green SHOULD I ANSWER THAT avatar on my phone screen had written POSITIVE, GOOD COMPANY in big letters. I answered the phone by saying "This is xxx". The voice at the other end asked, "Is this xxx?" and I replied "YES". Knowing that certain scams operate on a recording of 'YES', I wanted to bite my tongue clean OFF, especially when the guy said, "Oh, I'm sorry; I didn't mean to call you at all," and then terminated the connection. Sears would have no reason to call me for anything. I'm kinda freaked out about what consequences my 'YES' might bring.
